FOREVER: Breaking Dawn Part II, The Twilight Saga ENDS

It seems like last year when I watched the first installment of The Twilight Saga: The Breaking Dawn Part II. It was also November and I'm in the Ayala Triangle Gardens with my college friends and awaiting the Sound and Light show opening. It was also the first showing day of BREAKING DAWN Part I so I had to reserve our tickets in Glorietta ["very"] ahead of time.

Before the showing of even the 1st part, I already read the last book (Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer) numerous times, my last I think was my 6th. I already have a clear grasp and view of what will happen and let my imagination runs wild while anticipating the emotional and thrilling come back of Edward and Bella Cullen, the new challenges and happiness brought by Renesmee, and what changed to Jacob. I will be honest - I shed a lot of tears reading the book, so watching the movie. I just want to REPEAT it again.

Stephenie Meyer did a great job to justify the ending well and give the audience what they want - emotion and action. The whole cast and crew delivered a very sensible ending to the long story event of vampires, humans, Renesmee, shape-shifters accompanied by love, sorrow, and joy. It was the greatest installment of TWILIGHT as expected to its appropriate ending.

I know that they cannot create the whole context of the book out of this film as it will be a very, very long story line. In addition, they need to alter series of events for dramatic and setting purposes. But I felt the movie will be greater if the missing points has been included.

1. Bella as a NEWBORN. They cut it through and go to the hunting. It is good to see the apprehension of Bella to her new look, to her red eye that made Jasper and the rest react and back away. Bella realizing that she posed a threat to her family, pull it together and stay calm, which bring confusion to Jasper . This will be the first indication of her control and the concept of Carlisle that if they came prepared, new born will be somehow tamed and can adopt easily to them and their lifestyle.

2. ARO's NECKLACE - The necklace that she received from Aro welcoming her to the vampire clan is a big effect when they meet in the clearing. It is first seen when she received it. However, this might be removed because Bella is anticipated to fight, and the necklace will be a hindrance in showing the action [well at least according to Alice; they fought for their lives].

3. ALEC TALENT - Alec performed this trick when they killed Toshiro - he is supposed to witness and go to Carlisle camp. The smoke cut the primary senses and emotions so that their target will be easily killed. Alec's talent is very similar to his sister's - Jane but in a slower pace. During the anticipated fight in the clearing where the primary guards like Jane starting to cut their ties starting with Edward, Alec almost performed the trick when Jane realized that her power was rendered useless by Bella [she's seen smirking to her]. However, Aro stopped him. This is the point where the Volturi, guards, and wives will see the shield  that protect the Cullen's pack from any mental attack; and Bella will become the number one target once the battle commenced. Since, Aro and Edward's side only knows the shield there is no way for others to see or know it. This should be a vital point of battle.

There are also flaws on the movie related to the Cullens being vampires.

1. Edward's FOOTSTEPS - When Bella is reading Alice letter in the cover of her book - The Merchant of Venice and Edward told her that he will fill the bath tub, his footsteps are loud over the wooden floor of the cabin. Vampires walk smoothly and soundless right?

2. Alistair KNOWS it - Alistair appeared out of nowhere when Bella is packing the money, passport, driver's license [of Jacob - named Jacob Wolfe, the father of Vanessa Wolfe] to protect them until the last minute that they need to run and change identities. This should have been Bella's secret - since Edward can read people minds, then he will know the plan once Alistair went out of the room - which Aro will know the moment he touches Edward and everything will be screwed up.

3. TENT WHISPERING - During the bonfire conversation in the woods, Bella and Renesmee stayed in the tent and Bella whisper to Nessie that she should stick to Jacob during the meeting. Once she told her to run with Jacob - go as far as they can and do not stop. Edward and the group is just feet away - vampires possess great hearing sense, surely they can hear it and the plan will also be revealed to the Volturi that will make the battle sooner since Aro will know they will escape.

4. RIO DE JANEIRO -  When Bella was packing things for Renesmee's escape, it didn't show the word RIO de JANEIRO that she wrote big on the paper for Alice to see. This will ensure the safety of her daugther if they will die out of the fight, if the Volturi will not listen. She even told to Bella after everything was over that she needs to be specific because Rio is very large.

Overall, the mistakes and missing parts can be ignored since the movie was really great. I would have to say that there are scenes that made me shed a tear during the course of the movie, and it really brought mixed emotion for me and the movie watchers alike.

1. JACOB's is the MAN - This man who imprinted Renesmee which gave the first withdrawal of control for Bella played a big role in this movie. He diverted the movie from Bella & Edward and their romance as newly weds. He became a part of Cullen and the movie which made the setting more relaxing and funny to watch - by his antics and cool personality. He is fun to watch mostly when he smiles.

He also displayed appropriate emotions on exact scene and time - he really became a good actor in this film, nonetheless.

2. CABIN's BEAUTY - The gift of Esme and the Cullen family is exactly what the book pictured. Its ecclectic arrangment, combined with simplicity won my heart. It is very BEAUTIFUL. Elegant by its ingenuousness.

3. RENESMEE's TALE - She is very appropriate for the role. Her beauty and charm take me by surprise. Great casting for this movie. Her sweetness and personality is very likeable.

4. ALICE and her FUTURE - Her envision of what is waiting for Bella, Edward, Renesmee, and Jacob was great. It satisfied the hunger and imagination of its audience of what is there to expect after life. Surely, Jacob will aged eventually when he stop shifting into a wolf form but it is great to see that they stick together for a happy ending. Another tear from me! :D

5. THE WOLVES FEUD - Jacob and Sam Uley suddenly became friends again and the pack was whole again. They didn't elaborate how did this thing happen. It all resolves to Renesmee being the "one" for Jacob. Sam can no longer kill her because of the connection of Jacob - his brother to the child. They reunited and treat the Cullens as a part of their family even the history clashes with that.

The big surprise and turnaround of this movie is very unexpected - THE FIGHT between Cullens & their friends and the Volturi & the guards. In the book, no fight ever happened because of Bella's shield, the shape-shifters, and the appearance of Alice and Nahuel, the last minute. However, the movie is cooler in this part. They showed how the fight ignited when Alice saw that Aro will never be convinced because he only wants the Cullens to be erased from their history no matter what happened - even the immortal child is true or not. It is merely an excuse to massacre the CULLENS. Alice told Bella - NOW. Jasper and Alice were taken by the guards that made Carlisle furious. He leaped out and run after Alice just to be apprehended by the guards and beheaded. He was put in fire afterwards- at this point he is surely dead. Esmee cried out of agony and the it brought the first spark. The battle begun with all Cullens and the witnesses leaping and the wolves running with them. Jacob and Renesmee got the GO-signal. They were seen running away from the battle into the woods.

Bella keeps his family, friends, and relatives secured by shielding them - mostly from Jane's attack. The priority is Demetri because he is a great tracker and Renesmee & Jacob will only be safe when he's dead. Edward tried to engage with him, but he escaped and run towards the woods. Jacob later snatched his head during the run and continue escaping with Renesmee holding tight on his back.

Esmee, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, and others fought for their lives and freedom as the Volturi attacked on a full force. Jasper was beheaded moments later after the battle commenced, which gave away a painful shriek from Alice. Seth also died in the hands of two guards. Esme almost died when Benjamin uses his power and opens the snowy grounds and let the guards fall onto the hot magma. Leah suffering inside due to the death of his brother helped Esme out of the crack, thus she fell into the core with the guard.

Bella still doing his mental shield when some of this company was being tortured by Jane, he was attacked by Alec [Jane's twin brother], which resulted to the guy's death. Jane was beheaded to as she posed a great threat with her mental pain abilities. Later, Caius and Marcus attack when they saw the guards dying one by one but failed as they were as well killed by vampires and wolves. Aro who was the last of the Volturi attacked Bella but Edward and her fought with him. He was killed moments after, and Bella gets the fire torch from the grounds to burn his head.......and the scene shifted to the clearing filled with snow.

Alice showed him what will happen if he pursues his intention. He will be killed with the rest of Volturi. SUCH A TRICKERY from the production which shocked me and brought stirring feeling while it was happening. What a PLEASANT SURPRISE!!! It is good to see the battle through Alice's mind. :D

Aro's courage was depleted and he feared for his life - a first for many centuries since he held power. He retracted and said to his brothers that no imminent danger was present, and that they should leave NOW. Caius appealed. but Edward intervened. Nahuel with his aunt appeared from the woods, and they explained that after seven years of age he reached his full maturity and stopped aging - he is living for 150 years now. His diet is composed of human food and blood - which he can survive either. Bella sighed out of relief. She knows that they will be a family for a long, long time - with his bestfriend Jacob.

The following scene was the goodbyes from the gathered covens. They go back while the Romans leave angry because it was there chance to be victorious over the Volture who snatched the power from them.

The envisioned future of Alice for them which seen by Edward gave him a happy smile. He knows that life will now be safer and happier for years to come. Even if the Volturi provoked them once more, he knows that his family and friends from this occasion will stand up for them again and risk their lives for a better vampire world.

forever.

"Great movies will make you greedy by wanting more in spite the director's shout "CUT". The feeling of not having enough, anticipating what is next even the writer inscribed "THE END". It will be always good to remember and let our imaginations lead us to "forever". - JDO8

Overall, the movie is worth watching many times. You will not get bored, and time will be a problem for you as it ticks fast the film is running. The best TWILIGHT movie we ever had. Once again, lets watch the trailer and the most celebrated and viewed soundtrack of the movie - A Thousand Years by Christina Perri (reaching 54,944,212 as of download).
