UAAP Season 75: UAAP Volleyball Schedule

It's volleyball season again in the UAAP and I know most of you are excited just like me to see the ball rolling and players diving in and out of the court. Last season was phenomenal [mostly for the Women's Tournament] as DLSU Lady Spikers swept the elimination and took their 2nd consecutive title and while FEU Tamaraws stopped the building tradition of being a bridesmaid, in effect, put an end to the 4th consecutive CHAMPION titles of UST Tigers Spikers.

Many rookies will arise and veteran players will play their hearts out. Who will prevail in this year's season? Ten days TO GO!!! For the Men's Division, FEU and DLSU might be the strongest team with UST's key players already graduated. As it is not fully televised [only the Semi and Finals] we cannot know for sure. In the Women's League, DLSU and ADMU are the most anticipated teams [they also the final contenders last season] but not to take away anything from UST Tigresses who also came strong last year despite their losses and injuries.

Opening day on December 1, 2012 at SM Mall of Asia, THE ARENA. Games will start at 9:00AM for Men's and 2:00PM for Women's. The Women's Volleyball Tournament will be simultaneously aired in ABS-CBN Sports Channel - Studio 23.

5PEAT HISTORY: BLUE EAGLES, CHAMPION @ 75

I know this is a late post but forgive me as I have work. I witnessed the Game 2 of UAAP Senior's Men Basketball Finals via online streaming as tickets are hard to get.

Ateneo didn't failed any of my expectations for Game 2 as they once again, and do I really need to say this? For the 5th time they conquered their opponents once again to emerged as Season 75 CHAMPIONS for Senior Men's Division.

62-65 as the final score, with key players Nico Salva (graduating), Slaughter (Graduating), and Kiefer Ravena (sophomore) among other members of Ateneo Blue Eagles, they surpassed the tight game given by the UST Growling Tigers. Not to take away everything from the Gold and Black team from EspaƱa, the Katipunan-based Eagles performed well mostly on the 2nd quarter and the last.

On the other hand, UST displayed their threat as they gave the Blue Eagles a pressure-packed game last Thursday held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao City.

Awards as follows:

Finals Most Valuable Player: Nico Salva (ADMU)
Season Most Valuable Player: Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.  (NU)
Rookie of the Year - Jeron Teng (DLSU)

Men's Basketball Mythical Team:
G Terrence Romeo (FEU)
G Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. (NU)
F Jeron Teng (DLSU)
F Karim Abdul (UST)
C Greg Slaughter (ADMU)
